On May 8, 20 10, with the approval of the provincial government, the administrative divisions of Hekou District were adjusted.

Cancel the establishment of Liuhe Street in Liuhe Township, cancel the establishment of Xinhu Town in Xinhu Township, cancel Taiping Township, and merge its administrative area into Xinhu Town.

Up to now, Hekou District has jurisdiction over Hekou Street, Liuhe Street, Xinhu Town, Yihe Town, Gudao Town and xianhe town, ***2 streets, 4 towns, 178 villagers' committees and 44 residents' committees (including oil fields).
