Guangzhou license application conditions

1. The applicant must comply with the provisions of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China*** and the State of China, be over 18 years of age, and hold a valid motor vehicle driver's license.

2. The applicant must have a permanent residence registered in Guangzhou, or have paid social insurance premiums in Guangzhou for more than six consecutive months, or have worked in Guangzhou for more than six consecutive months.

3. The applicant must purchase a new or used vehicle that complies with national and Guangzhou municipal regulations, and ensure that the vehicle meets the relevant environmental and safety standards.

4. For applicants who are not householders of Guangzhou, they need to provide documents proving that they have worked continuously or paid social insurance in Guangzhou, or provide a lease contract for renting a house in Guangzhou.

5. For enterprises or units applying for licenses, they need to provide relevant documents certifying that they are enterprises or units, and designate the name, ID card number, driver's license number and other information of the person using the vehicle.
