How to handle inter-provincial social security

Legal analysis: To transfer social security across provinces, you need to bring social security card, resident ID card, proof of termination of labor relations, employment notice and household registration book and other relevant supporting materials, fill in the transfer application form at the social security agency at the workplace, print the payment voucher of basic old-age insurance, and apply for transfer to the social security agency at the transfer place. After confirmation, the social security department of the new and old insured places will handle the transfer. It should be noted that after leaving the job, you need to provide proof of payment of social security fees at the time of application, handle the transfer of endowment insurance fund for you, and terminate the applicant's participation relationship at the original place of participation. Subsequently, the insured person can go to the social security agency in the newly insured place and apply for social security transfer in writing. Generally, the audit will be completed within 15 working days. If there is no problem, the insured will get a letter of acceptance issued by the agency.

Article 2 The state establishes social insurance systems such as basic old-age insurance, basic medical insurance, industrial injury insurance, unemployment insurance and maternity insurance, so as to guarantee citizens' right to receive material assistance from the state and society in accordance with the law in case of old age, illness, industrial injury, unemployment and maternity.

Article 4 Employers and individuals who pay social insurance premiums according to law in People's Republic of China (PRC) have the right to inquire about payment records and personal rights and interests records, and ask social insurance agencies to provide social insurance consultation and other related services. Individuals enjoy social insurance benefits according to law and have the right to supervise the payment of their own units.

Article 58 An employing unit shall, within 30 days from the date of employment, apply to the social insurance agency for social insurance registration for its employees. If the social insurance has not been registered, the social insurance agency shall verify the social insurance premium it should pay. Employees-free individual industrial and commercial households who voluntarily participate in social insurance, part-time employees who do not participate in social insurance in the employing unit and other flexible employees shall apply to the social insurance agency for social insurance registration. The state establishes a national unified personal social security number. Personal social security number is a citizen's identity number.
