Self-supporting refers to outpatient, hospitalization and above the starting standard and the starting standard should be borne by the individual proportion of the cost; self-care refers to the use of basic medical insurance drugs and medical services catalog of category B drugs and medical services, as well as other need to pay a certain percentage of the cost of the individual first.
Participants can use their personal accounts in accordance with the regulations during the period of enjoying the basic medical insurance benefits. During the period of suspension of basic medical insurance benefits, the use of the participant's personal account is suspended.
If an employee health insurance participant is transferred to other basic medical insurance, the actual balance of funds may continue to be used in accordance with the provisions of Articles 12 and 13.
Participating units with a large number of active employees working or residing abroad for more than one year (hereinafter referred to as overseas personnel) may entrust the management of the individual account funds of their overseas personnel to the participating units. After the insured unit registers its personnel abroad with the municipal health insurance administration organization in December of each year, the funds in the personal account of the relevant personnel in the following year will be allocated to the insured unit by the municipal health insurance administration organization on a monthly basis. After the termination procedures of the above personnel, their individual accounts will stop being allocated to the participating units.
