What should I do if I go to the hospital without a medical insurance card?

Legal analysis: some regions and hospitals support the use of electronic medical insurance cards, which can enjoy the same treatment as entity medical insurance cards. If the medical insurance card is lost, it can be reissued in the following two ways:

1. The insured person brings his/her valid certificate and applies to the neighboring county medical insurance center, and the county medical insurance center will settle the account on the spot.

2. The insured person can also apply to the nearby street (town) medical insurance service point for handling, and the service point will settle the account within 3 working days.

Legal basis: Article 23 of the Social Insurance Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), employees shall participate in the basic medical insurance for employees, and the employer and employees shall jointly pay the basic medical insurance premium in accordance with state regulations.

Individual industrial and commercial households without employees, part-time employees who have not participated in the basic medical insurance for employees and other flexible employees can participate in the basic medical insurance for employees, and individuals pay the basic medical insurance premium in accordance with state regulations.
