When the insured person uses the social security card for the first time in a designated medical institution, he can directly activate the social security function by simply registering for outpatient service or hospitalization.

3. When the insured uses the social security card for the first time in the designated medical insurance pharmacy, he inserts the original medical insurance card and then inserts the social security card as required to activate the social security card.

Second, the social security card activation period?

1. The insured person can activate the social security application after receiving the card from the human resources and social security department.

2. Within 300 days from the date of receiving the social security card, go to the cooperative bank outlet corresponding to the financial account with my valid certificate, otherwise the social security application of the card will be reported as lost.

3. If the insured cannot handle it in person, he may entrust others to handle it.

4. When entrusting others to handle it, the client must hold his ID card, the ID card of the insured and the power of attorney.

5. If the one-card social security application is reported lost because the financial application is not enabled, the social security card holder needs to enable the one-card financial application, and then uninstall the one-card social security application at the designated place in Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security.

Third, how to cancel the social security card?

Social security card cancellation process:

1. If the insured person of comprehensive basic medical insurance terminates the social insurance relationship for various reasons and needs to cancel the social security card, he shall handle the card cancellation business with relevant materials at the Medical Work Injury Treatment Section of the Municipal Social Security Bureau.

2. After verifying the information, the social security personnel will print the social security card cancellation notice, and the cardholder will go through the card cancellation formalities at any branch of the issuing bank within his jurisdiction with the social security card cancellation notice and social security card.

3. After approval, the branch staff shall cancel the cardholder's medical account. The balance of medical account plus accrued interest will be transferred to the cardholder's social security card financial account after 10 working days.
