Spain reports that more and more immigrants are choosing to work in Spain as the country's economy turns for the better. According to the official news released by the Spanish Social Security Institute, the immigrant labor force in Spain has been growing for three consecutive months since February this year, reaching 1.9 million people in April this year, returning to the level before the 2007 economic crisis. Among them, there are 101,000 Chinese immigrant laborers, currently ranking fourth.

Official figures released by the Spanish Social Security Institute (ISSS) show that the top-ranking immigrant labor population in Spain is Romanian, *** with 339,631 people, followed by Moroccans with 250,782, Italians with 106,066, and Chinese with 101,109 people paying social security and participating in employment.

There are currently 19,306,222 people in the working population*** paying social security in Spain, an increase of 56,000 people in April this year alone, up 3% from the previous January, and an increase in the number of immigrants in February and March of 21,000 and 37,000 people, respectively. That's a 7.4 percent increase from last year.

Among the working population paying social security contributions across Spain, Barcelona (455,363) and Madrid (387,186) combined accounted for 43.6 percent of Spain's total immigrant working population. This is followed, in descending order, by Andalusia (257,953), Valencia (206,018), the Canary Islands (95,488), the Balearic Islands (89,790), Murcia (89,272), Aragon (65,876), the Basque Country (59,270), Castilla-La Mancha (56,965), and the region of Castilla y León ( 51376).
