Even if you pay social security, you won't find out that you are married.

When a company pays social security for its employees, it cannot directly know their marital status, because the Social Security Bureau only provides information on paying social insurance funds, not personal marital status. To inquire about an individual's marital status, you need to go to the marriage registration office of the Civil Affairs Bureau. There is no direct connection between social security and marriage, so the company will not involve the information of whether employees are married or not when paying social security. Similarly, the housing provident fund paid by the company for employees will not involve the inquiry of marital status. Unless in some cases, such as applying for marriage leave or maternity check-up, employees may need to provide their own marital status information to the unit, otherwise marital status will usually not affect the payment of social security and the work situation of employees.

Changes in marital status in social security information;

1. Social security information contains basic personal information, including name, gender, date of birth, ID number, marital status, etc.

2. The change of marital status needs to be carried out through formal channels: usually, individuals need to provide the social security management department with relevant proof materials of marital change, such as marriage certificate or divorce certificate;

3. Departments that may be involved in the change process: including but not limited to Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and Civil Affairs Bureau;

4. Social security benefits that may be affected by changes in marital status: such as maternity insurance benefits and spouse medical insurance;

5. Change the timeliness of information: once the marital status changes, the social security information should be updated as soon as possible to avoid affecting personal rights and interests.

To sum up, the unit cannot directly know the marital status of employees when paying social security for employees, because there is no direct connection between social security and marital relationship, and marital status usually does not affect the payment of social security and the work situation of employees.

Article 7

The payer must go to the local social insurance agency for social insurance registration and participate in social insurance. The registered items include: name, domicile, business place, type of unit, legal representative or person in charge, account number of the bank where the account is opened, and other matters stipulated by the administrative department of labor and social security of the State Council.

Social insurance agencies shall establish payment records, including basic old-age insurance and basic medical insurance, and record them in personal accounts in accordance with regulations. Social insurance institutions are responsible for keeping payment records and ensuring their integrity and security.
