Among the urban residents over 16 who meet these standards, except the students at school, the students over 16 are not eligible for the old-age insurance for urban and rural residents. Except that 16 is defined as the starting age of insurance payment, there are no specific provisions on the stopping age of insurance payment in social security law, labor contract law or labor law. However, the retirement age in China is 60 for men, 50 for women workers and 55 for women cadres and freelancers. Therefore, in theory, as long as the statutory retirement age is reached, the payment period of old-age service insurance is 15, and it is generally impossible to continue to pay old-age insurance; Persons who have reached the statutory retirement age cannot apply for opening an initial bank account and paying fees.

However, for those who reach the statutory retirement age and the payment period of pension service insurance is less than 15 years, they can continue to pay to 15 years. If the old-age insurance has been paid, the stop age of social old-age insurance is 15 years. For example, you have to be 65 years old to pay 15, then you will not pay the old-age insurance after 65 years old, and you will have to pay 15 after 68 years old, so you will not continue to pay the old-age insurance after 68 years old.

However, the key to these age requirements is social endowment insurance. If the payment period of medical insurance reaches the stipulated payment period at retirement, they will no longer pay medical insurance and enjoy medical insurance benefits for life, but this is limited to urban workers' medical insurance. Those who fail to reach the prescribed payment period at retirement can continue to pay employee medical insurance until they reach the prescribed payment period.

However, for those who do not pay endowment insurance, whether they pay employee medical insurance or urban and rural residents' medical insurance, they must continue to pay medical insurance to enjoy medical insurance benefits, which is also age-free; Unemployment insurance, maternity insurance and industrial injury insurance must be paid continuously as long as they form a labor relationship with the employer. Since the termination or cessation of the labor contract, the wages of the statutory retirement age are no longer paid.
