Can Beijing medical insurance designated hospitals be changed?

Legal analysis: Designated medical institutions can be changed. Change mode of designated hospital selected on medical insurance card:

1. The insured person can bring his/her ID card and medical insurance card to the designated handling department (social security center or social security office) of the hospital to be selected, and fill in the registration form to handle the change procedures.

2. The employee is changed by the unit, and the name of the hospital that needs to be cancelled or added is informed to the person in charge of social security of the unit, and the unit makes changes online.

Legal basis: Article 6 of the Interim Measures of Beijing Municipality on the Administration of Medical Treatment for Insured Persons with Basic Medical Insurance. If the insured individuals choose designated medical institutions for medical treatment, and require changes after 1 year, they may submit a written application in May each year, and the employer shall summarize and fill in the Registration Form of Designated Medical Institutions for Medical Insurance in Beijing, and go through the relevant formalities at the local district and county medical insurance agency.
