Shanghai social security registration guide (foreigners, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents)

Personal accounts of foreigners working in Shanghai, people who have obtained permanent (long-term) residency abroad and residents of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao are newly established or transferred to the processing place.

1. Registration conditions: male under 60 years old, female under 55 years old, and has gone through the recruitment (registration) procedures.

Second, the handling of materials

1. Employment materials: a copy of the labor contract or employment contract (not necessary for Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao residents who have gone through employment registration and filing procedures).

2. Other materials. Depending on the situation, you need to bring the following materials:

(1) Foreigners and those who have obtained permanent (long-term) residency abroad are required to bring a non-blank page copy of one of the four documents, namely, Shanghai Residence Permit B, Alien Residence and Employment Approval Certificate, Alien Permanent Residence Identity Card and Alien Work Permit, as well as a copy of the first page of my passport, the page where my name is recorded and the page of validity period (the holder of Alien Permanent Residence Identity Card does not need to provide it)

(2) Residents of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao need to carry copies of the front and back of the residence permit of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents, and have not yet received copies of the home page, recorded name and expiration date page of the carry-on pass of the residence permit of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents.

Note: 1. Copies of materials shall be stamped with official seals.

2. If the materials are not in Chinese, a Chinese translation stamped by the translation agency shall be provided.

Third, the handling process

1. If it conforms to the handling procedures, the handling institution shall issue a Checklist in duplicate, with the clerk and the handling institution holding one copy respectively.

2. If the materials are incomplete and indicate that they can be filled, the agency shall issue an acceptance receipt in duplicate, which shall be signed by the clerk for confirmation, with each party holding one copy. The handling agency will return all materials.

3. If the handling requirements are not met, the handling agency shall issue a "Handling Receipt" in duplicate, which shall be signed by the staff and held by the handling agency respectively. The handling agency will copy all the materials and return them.

Four. Location: social security sub-center where the insured is located.

5. Processing time: 5th to 26th of each month (except legal holidays).
