How to use medical insurance to buy medicine in different places

Medical insurance cards can be purchased in different places, as follows:

1. If some provinces and cities co-ordinate the purchase of drugs in different places, they can directly use the medical insurance card to purchase drugs in different places.

2. At present, it has not been realized to buy medicines in pharmacies across provinces and cities, and it is impossible to buy medicines directly in many places. The medical insurance card can be used for direct settlement, which is limited to the hospitalization expenses incurred by designated medical institutions connected to other provinces and cities. Even the outpatient department of the hospital can't use the medical insurance card, and the pharmacy can't realize it.

The reimbursement process of medical insurance in different places is as follows:

1. When registering in hospital: you need to show your medical insurance card and ID card. The hospital will check the personal data and payment of the insured person in the medical insurance information system and handle the admission procedures for them;

2. During hospitalization: Please remind doctors that the use of self-funded drugs, diagnosis and treatment items and medical service facilities must be signed and agreed by patients or their families;

3. Discharge: If the hospitalization meets the discharge standard, the attending doctor will issue a discharge notice, and the insured will go to the discharge office with the discharge notice and medical insurance card for settlement. It usually takes no more than 7 days to get medicine from the hospital. At the time of discharge settlement, the insured or their families should sign the "medical insurance expense statement" for confirmation.

To sum up, if you go to a different place for medical treatment in advance, you can swipe your card to buy medicine at a different pharmacy in the province, but only if you swipe your card at a designated medical insurance pharmacy. If the user has not filed for the record, it is impossible to swipe the card with the medical insurance card.
