Briefly describe the characteristics of social security.

Legal analysis: 1. Mandatory. The so-called compulsory means that social insurance is enforced by legislation, and the content and implementation of social security are carried out by law.

3. Welfare. The so-called welfare means that social insurance is not for profit, and the implementation of social insurance is entirely to protect the basic life of social members.

4. Social equity. As a form of distribution, social insurance has obvious fairness characteristics. On the one hand, social insurance can't have a special class, and citizens under the same conditions get the same protection. On the other hand, in the process of forming and using insurance funds, the rights and obligations enjoyed by individuals are not strictly considered, thus reflecting a certain degree of social equity.
