How to use social security in Dongguan

Everyone's social security card can only be used in designated hospitals.

You can check your designated hospitals on the social security network (usually the health service station of your company when you apply for a social security card). If the service station can't meet your medical needs, you can issue a "referral form" at the service station. With the "referral form", social security card, ID card to other medical insurance designated hospitals, enjoy medical reimbursement.

Note: Many people don't understand the concept of "designated hospitals".

Medical insurance designated hospitals generally refer to all hospitals designated by the Social Security Bureau to participate in medical reimbursement.

However, patients with social security cards cannot be reimbursed at every designated hospital at any time. For example, if you want to see a doctor in Chang 'an Hospital and reimburse medical insurance expenses, then you must first issue a "referral form" at your health service station, and Chang 'an Hospital will recognize it. Moreover, the "referral form" is valid for 3 days, and a "referral form" needs to be reissued after 3 days.
