Conditions for foreign medical insurance to move into Beijing

Legal analysis: applying for social security transfer mainly refers to the payment period of medical insurance, the individual payment part of old-age insurance and the payment period. Social security transfer refers to the transfer of endowment insurance relationship between insured persons who are employed across provinces. The insured only needs to apply, and the rest of the work is handed over by the social security departments of the two places.

If there is a receiving unit for the transfer of medical insurance, the unit shall handle the medical insurance formalities; if there is no receiving unit, the individual shall pay the insurance premium within three months after terminating the original medical insurance relationship; In the transfer of medical insurance relationship, three kinds of medical insurance can be freely transferred, namely, basic medical insurance for urban workers, basic medical insurance for urban residents and new rural cooperative medical care.

Legal basis: Article 64 of People's Republic of China (PRC) Social Insurance Law includes basic endowment insurance fund, basic medical insurance fund, industrial injury insurance fund, unemployment insurance fund and maternity insurance fund. In addition to the basic medical insurance fund and maternity insurance fund combined accounting, other social insurance funds are accounted for separately according to social insurance types. Social insurance funds implement a unified accounting system throughout the country.

The social insurance fund is earmarked for special purposes, and no organization or individual may occupy or misappropriate it.

The basic old-age insurance fund will gradually implement national overall planning, and other social insurance funds will gradually implement provincial overall planning. The specific time and steps shall be stipulated by the State Council.
