Social security card can't be swiped. What's going on here?

The reasons why social security cards cannot be swiped are as follows:

1. If it is not paid in time or in arrears, it shall pay the social security fee on a monthly basis. If the payment is overdue or the account balance is insufficient, the deduction will affect the normal medical reimbursement. At the beginning of each month, all enterprises, institutions or companies shall check whether the unit account is enough to pay the social security expenses of this month, and the insured persons of urban and rural residents shall be withheld and remitted by their communities and neighborhood committees;

2. The password is incorrect. Before the medical institution uses the social security card for settlement, the password of the social security card must be entered. If you can't enter the correct password, you won't be able to use the social security card for reimbursement. You can enter the social security card password up to ten times. If you enter an error ten times in a row, you need to go to the issuing bank to unlock the password.

3. The card is damaged. In a few cases, the social security card is damaged due to improper storage or other reasons, which will affect the use of credit card medical reimbursement. Avoid folding or scratching the surface of the card and keep it properly. If you accidentally damage the social security card, you can apply for a replacement card at the issuing bank with your valid certificate;

4. The settlement system of medical institutions has failed. In rare cases, the hospital settlement terminal may fail, which makes it impossible to handle on-site reimbursement settlement. Please ask the insured to ask the hospital to indicate the reasons for not handling the on-site settlement on the back of the invoice, affix the seal of the hospital and bring it back to the Social Security Bureau window for reimbursement and settlement;

The insured person should hold his medical insurance certificate for medical treatment and drug purchase, and take the initiative to show it for inspection. Insured persons have the right to require designated medical institutions to truthfully issue expense documents and related materials.

Insured personnel should properly keep medical insurance certificates to prevent others from using them. If it is necessary to entrust others to purchase drugs for special reasons, the identity certificates of the principal and the trustee shall be provided.

Insured persons shall enjoy medical security benefits according to regulations and shall not enjoy them repeatedly.

Insured persons have the right to request medical insurance agencies to provide medical insurance consulting services and put forward suggestions for improvement in the use of medical insurance funds.
