As the Beijing-Guangzhou line alternate field and domestic training airport, it undertakes a lot of alternate and training tasks, while Nanyang Jiang Ying Airport is small in scale and simple in facilities. In order to adapt to the rapid development of Nanyang aviation industry, improve the airport infrastructure construction, and improve the airport's ability and service level to ensure safe operation, the airport has carried out the following construction: land acquisition 1.300 mu, the runway extending 500 meters to the north, transforming the existing runway to meet the use requirements of Class D aircraft, increasing parallel taxiways and connecting roads, building five new parking stands, expanding the terminal building, and improving lighting, navigation and supporting projects.

With the continuous development of social economy, the present situation of the airport can no longer meet the needs of the rapid economic development in Nanyang. The reconstruction and expansion project of Nanyang Airport Terminal is planned to expand 2700 square meters to the west and north, with a total area of 5800 square meters after expansion, including the waiting area of 1.200 square meters, and a special VIP waiting area will be set up. Increase the number of check-in counters and security channels, and reserve joint inspection channel positions for international and regional flights. This project has been included in the key construction projects of Nanyang City in 2008, and the municipal finance plans to raise 47,665,438+10,000 yuan to rebuild and expand the airport terminal.

The reconstruction and expansion project of Nanyang Airport Terminal was completed in June 2009, with a construction scale of 8,262 square meters. The design target year is 20 15 years, which can meet the demand of 400 passengers in peak hours and the annual passenger throughput is 570,000 passengers. This project includes 2 boarding bridges, 4 passenger security channels (including reserved 1), terminal supporting security equipment, luggage system, weak current system (including computer network system, departure control system, flight information display system, security check and access control system, integrated wiring system, broadcasting system, clock system, closed-circuit television system, security check information system and automatic fire alarm system) and apron service lane.
