There are three kinds of police establishment, namely administrative establishment, career establishment and contract auxiliary police. We generally say that the people's police are police established by civil servants and recognized by the state. They have police officers with formal administrative establishment, uniforms, police inspection certificates and law enforcement power.

At present, the state implements a dual-track recruitment system for the people's police: people in society and fresh graduates who are interested in the police industry can become police officers through the national civil service examination and the provincial civil service examination. Generally speaking, recruiting police for national and provincial examinations has higher requirements for individuals, and their academic qualifications are generally above junior college. Some positions only recruit graduate students, and there are fewer positions that are not limited to majors.

Second, the reason of the police

Different from civil service police and auxiliary police, it is what we call career establishment police. Generally speaking, when the local police force is insufficient and there is a certain career establishment, they will recruit themselves and provide their own establishment. The definition of income is based on local financial income and public institution income. However, this kind of police generally only have the local recognized police identity, and do not have the police inspection certificate and law enforcement power, but there are exceptions. For example, the career establishment police in some areas of Shandong also have the police officer's card and law enforcement power. The recruitment requirements of this kind of police are relatively high, generally requiring college education or above, and there are professional restrictions.

Third, recruit auxiliary police.

Auxiliary police, whether it is a contract system or an employment system, usually sign a contract with a third party, without the right to compile and enforce the law, but the recruitment conditions are relatively loose. Some people only need a high school education to register, while others can enter directly without a written test.

Because the construction of the auxiliary police force has always been an important part of the police force construction, with the growth of the auxiliary police force and the increase of its contribution to the police force construction, the transfer of the auxiliary police force has been further put on the agenda.
