What major does automobile manufacturing generally need?

I am a student majoring in vehicle engineering, and the automobile companies that come to our school for recruitment generally need the following majors:

Vehicle engineering, mechanical design and manufacture and automation, chemical engineering and technology, material science, automation, etc.

Companies like Toyota and Volkswagen will recruit majors in small languages, such as Japanese and German.
