What is Dunhuang's travel strategy?
Dunhuang is a famous town on the ancient Silk Road. In the long history of cultural exchanges between China and the West, it was once a gathering place for celebrities of Chinese and Western cultures. The Mogao Grottoes, Crescent Moon Spring in Mingsha Mountain, Ya Dan Ghost Town, Yumenguan, Yangguan and Han Great Wall ... all attract us to visit this northwest pearl, so today we will make a Dunhuang Raiders for all travelers!
1, History: The word "Dunhuang" appears frequently in textbooks. Dunhuang is located at the westernmost end of Hexi Corridor, "Dun, Daye; Brilliant and prosperous, Dunhuang has a long history of more than 2,000 years and was once the throat of the famous Silk Road at home and abroad.
2. Culture: Dunhuang is the meeting point of various cultures, and China, Indian, Greek and Islamic cultures meet here. Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes is a world cultural heritage, known as the art museum of the Eastern world.
3. Wonders: There is the 5A scenic spot of Ya Dan Ghost Town (Ya Dan Geopark), where you can feel the wonder of nature-the natural landscape of Dunhuang Ya Dan landform and geological relics. There are Mingsha Mountain, Crescent Moon Spring and Sand Spring, which are wonderful and natural, and have been known as "desert wonders" since ancient times.
4. Gourmet: Dunhuang cuisine, with its elegant taste, novel techniques, typical dishes and its own system, stands out among the cuisines in 34 cities across the country and ranks first among the "new eight cuisines" in China. Dunhuang's three major banquets, Dunhuang Banquet, Dream Dunhuang Banquet and Dunhuang Music and Dance Banquet, are world-renowned, blending the essence of Dunhuang culture with local specialties. Dunhuang locals like to eat sheep, chicken and beef, and they are also very particular about the production of pasta. Dunhuang's distinctive foods, such as Dunhuang stuffed skin, Dunhuang minced meat noodles, donkey meat yellow noodles and mutton powder soup, are the most common foods on the streets of Dunhuang. As a foodie, how can you not try them?
Dunhuang tourist routes are divided into eastern and western routes. Generally speaking, the Yumenguan-Han Great Wall-Ya Dan tourist route is called the western line, and the Mogao Grottoes-Mingsha Mountain Crescent Spring is called the eastern line.
It's a long journey to the West, so you can take a taxi/chartered car or join a local one-day tour. After getting up early, I set off for Ya Dan Geopark, which takes about two and a half hours by car, and I will pass Yumenguan on the way. Tickets for Yumenguan, Han Great Wall and Hezang City are bundled and sold in 40 yuan.
yumenguan site
Many of us know that Yumenguan originated from a poem recited when I was a child, Wang Zhihuan's "Liangzhou Ci": "The Yellow River is far above the white clouds, an isolated city, Wan Ren Mountain." Why should a strong brother complain about Liu? The spring breeze does not pass through Yumen Pass. It used to be the gateway to the western regions in the Western Han Dynasty, but now it has become an empty square mound. The prosperity of the past can only be imagined.
During the reign of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, after defeating the Xiongnu, he began to move the Han residents to Hexi, then carried out agricultural development, and then stationed troops here to build the Great Wall to prevent the Xiongnu from invading again. It was once an important part of the complete military defense system in Hexi in Han Dynasty. After more than 2000 years of wind and rain, the Great Wall of Han Dynasty is now in ruins.
Admission: Full-price ticket 120 yuan/person (50 yuan, 70 yuan).
Ya Dan landform, also known as wind erosion landform, has been seen in geography books before, but when you really come here, especially when you see the golden lion welcoming guests, the Sphinx, the peacocks standing high and the Western Sea Fleet, you will still admire the wonders of nature!
Vehicles are not allowed to enter Ya Dan Ghost Town Scenic Area. You have to change buses at the scenic spot. If the budget allows, you can also take the off-road vehicle inside, which can go further and have more free time. Ordinary tourists take the northernmost line, and the southern line needs to rent an off-road vehicle in the scenic spot.
Matters needing attention
No matter how you get to the geological area of Ya Dan, don't try to leave the scenic bus and go hiking under the guidance of local people who are not familiar with the road. In June this year, a donkey friend got lost and called the police for help. The location was uncertain. He was unfortunately killed. Don't ignore the arrangement of the park and make the same mistake again! On the vast Gobi desert, the terrain is almost the same. Without the sun, you can't even tell the east from the west! There is no water, no living things, and sometimes there are small tornadoes in some areas. If the temperature is too high, the desert Gobi may also form a mirage, and people will have hallucinations. In some areas, there is no cell phone signal. Once lost, the consequences are unimaginable!
Shazhou night market
After playing all day, I went back to Dunhuang to have a rest, and then went to Shazhou night market to play. Apricot skin water, minced meat noodles, pulp water, stuffing cakes, mutton skewers, Li Guangxing, famous dates, purple peaches, fragrant pears, white grapes, yellow river honeydew melons, crystal glasses, crystal jewelry, jade white camels, Dunhuang silk carpets, statues, murals replicas, luminous cups ... can hardly wait.
Special products of Shazhou Night Market or some special souvenirs can be bargained. Generally, local people will slowly close the stalls after 10. You can go to see them first, don't buy them, buy them when you are ready to close the stalls, and then bargain. You can save a lot of money by buying more things ~
Today, we mainly play a big cultural shrine and a natural wonder. The driving distance is short. We get up early and go to the Mogao Grottoes. We took the green bus opposite the Mogao Hotel. Ticket price, 8 yuan. There is a bus every half an hour in the peak season, and it is rare in the off-season. The last bus is around 4pm, or we can take a taxi to 60 yuan. In the peak season, drivers may ask the price without playing the meter.
Tickets: reservation ticket: 200 yuan/person, emergency ticket: 100 yuan/person.
The Mogao Grottoes are limited to 6,000 people/day, and you need to make an appointment online in advance. If you don't have an appointment, you can only queue up at the ticket window with the original ID card one day in advance to buy an emergency ticket.
Before going to the physical grottoes, you can watch the theme digital movie Millennium Mogao Grottoes and the dome movie Dream Buddha Hall in the digital exhibition center, which will take you to experience the past lives of Mogao Grottoes in an all-round way, and then you can visit eight physical grottoes.
Emergency tickets can visit the four classic grottoes of Mogao Grottoes, and also visit the History Museum of Dunhuang Research Institute and the Dunhuang Grottoes Cultural Relics Protection Research and Exhibition Center.
Photographing is not allowed in the cave. You should know that every photo is harmful to murals, especially when there is a flash, so pay special attention when you go in.
Admission: peak season (April 1? 65438+1 October 3 1) 120 yuan/person, off-season (165438+1October1? March 3 1) 80 yuan/person, tickets for Mingsha Mountain can be fingerprinted, and you can enter the park within three days with your tickets and fingerprints. Camel 100 yuan/horse (about one hour), shoe cover rental 15 yuan/pair, sand skiing 15 yuan/person, beach motorcycle 200/ person.
Transportation: There is no direct bus from Mogao Grottoes to Mingsha Mountain. You need to take the green bus to the entrance of Jinshan Hotel in the city, and then change to the No.3 bus at the south gate of New World Shopping Mall. 1 yuan can go to Crescent Spring, or you can take a taxi. The cost is about 40-60, and there is no meter.
Since ancient times, water and fire are incompatible, and it is difficult for desert springs to exist. However, in Mingsha Mountain, you can see the wonders of deserts and springs.
Matters needing attention
Mingsha Mountain suggests going around four or five o'clock in the afternoon. It won't be too hot. It will be more beautiful to shoot the sunset at the top of the mountain around nine o'clock in the evening.
Sand skiing, beach cycling and other projects must pay attention to safety and do what you can. When riding a camel, follow the arrangement of camel workers. When we get on and off the camel, the camel moves its front legs first when it hits the ground, so be sure to hold the handrail, or it will fall off the hump or roll over. When the camel walks, don't just take pictures regardless of safety.
Scarf: Sometimes it is windy and dusty in Mingsha Mountain. If you don't pay attention, you will be blinded by the wind and sand. Some sunscreens or moisturizers are a little sticky. If you want to ski again, yeah. . . That would be a real snowballing usury.
Take care of the camera. The sand in Mingsha Mountain is very fine. Blowing at the camera will do some damage to the machine. You can buy a professional protective cover on a treasure or prepare some transparent plastic bags.
Shoes: Wear comfortable and breathable shoes.
There is a No.3 bus back to Dunhuang downtown in Mingsha Mountain, with a fare of 1 yuan, and there is no bus after 20 o'clock. Go back to take a taxi, the cost is about 30 yuan.
The above is a simple two-day tour of Dunhuang, which is suitable for some people with short holidays, but some people have a long journey to the northwest. They must come once, so in the northwest, in addition to Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes, Mingsha Mountain Crescent Spring, Qinghai Lake, Chaka Salt Lake, Zhangye Colorful Danxia and Jiayuguan, choose a time with enough time to play ... It would be a pity if these places can't be experienced together. The following routes are recommended for people with abundant holidays, and the 9-day tour of Qinggan Ring Road:
D 1。 Arrive in Xining
D2。 Xining-Ta 'er Temple-Sun Moon Mountain-Qinghai Lake
D3。 Qinghai Lake-Chaka Salt Lake-Delingha Watching Sunrise
D4。 Qaidam Basin-Crook Lake-Dunhuang
D5。 Yumenguan-Ya Dan Ghost Town-Mingsha Mountain Crescent Spring
D6。 Mogao grottoes-Jiayuguan
D7。 Jiayuguan Tower-Colorful Danxia in Zhangye
D8。 Zhangye-Chelan Qilian Mountain Prairie-Gangshika Snow Mountain-Biandukou-Menyuan Hui Folk Village
D9。 Menyuan-Xining
Traveling around the northwest, semi-free travel/chartered car is the first choice for most people. Because the northwest has a vast territory, scattered destination attractions and inconvenient transportation, making full use of the time and energy on the road is not only economical and worry-free, but also more enjoyable.
Dunhuang is located at the intersection of Gansu, Qinghai and Xinjiang. Compared with most cities, it is a very remote place. There are four main ways to come to Dunhuang:
First, direct flights.
There is an airport in Dunhuang, but only some cities have flights to Dunhuang (Beijing, Shanghai, Wuhan, Nanjing, Xi 'an, Chengdu and Hangzhou), and there are not many direct flights. Some cities in the middle need to transfer to Xi 'an, and the price is relatively high. Basically, it takes about 2500 people for a one-way trip. If funds are abundant or urban conditions permit, you can consider coming to Dunhuang in this way.
Second, change trains to Lanzhou.
This is the most cost-effective way. There are four trains from Lanzhou to Dunhuang, with hard sleeper 26 1.5 yuan and soft sleeper 398.5 yuan. They set out at night and arrived in Dunhuang the next morning. Recommend Y667, which arrived in Dunhuang earlier. Before going out to play, you can not only put your luggage back in the hotel, but also find a local carpool.
Y669 and Y673 are recommended for the return trip. They arrived in Lanzhou earlier and had a wider choice of return flights.
Lanzhou is a transportation hub in the northwest, with many flights and cheap prices, covering most cities in China. More importantly, the price is generally about half cheaper than flying to Dunhuang. So I personally suggest that if you want to come to Dunhuang, you can fly to Lanzhou first, and then buy a hard sleeper or soft sleeper train to sleep in Dunhuang for one night! And at dawn, you can also see the Silk Road along the way.
Transportation from Lanzhou Airport to Lanzhou Railway Station;
The taxi fare is around 200 yuan.
Airport bus/taxi: the airport bus goes to Dongfang Hotel (near Lanzhou University), and Lanzhou University transfers to111131or taxi 10 yuan, which is less than 2km from Lanzhou Railway Station. Bus interval: adjusted with flight time, fare: 30 yuan.
Bus: Take bus No.4 in the new area, in the direction of Shi Lan Group, get off at Qilukou Station, transfer to bus No.5 in the new area, get off at the new branch station of Provincial People's Hospital, then transfer to bus No.601,and get off at Lan Station on foot.
PS。 Recently, some road sections in Lanzhou are under construction. The big traffic to Lanzhou is suggested to land three and a half hours before the departure time of the train. It is recommended to land half an hour in advance if the luggage is too much or too small.
3. Take a bus from Xining to Dunhuang.
There is a shuttle bus every day at Xining Passenger Transport Center Station. Departure time 165438+ 0: 00 in the morning, and the fare is 229 yuan. The mileage is about1048km. The model is a large middle berth, and the longest need is about 13 hours.
Fourth, chartered cars.
If there are many people, you can also choose to charter a car from Xining or Lanzhou to Dunhuang, and you can also visit more cities on the way, but you must be careful when you charter a car. Don't choose that kind of car, private car or black car. Be sure to choose a car with formal operating qualifications. I suggest you consider it when there are many people.
You usually come to Dunhuang from April to June, 65438+ 10. If you come here during this time, there will be many large-scale activities (such as the Eight Temple Fair, the Sand Festival and the Silk Road Festival). ), and you can enjoy many local ethnic customs. 438+065438+ 10-March The temperature in Dunhuang is relatively low, and there are more sandstorms in spring and summer, which is not particularly suitable for you. Basically, the ticket price and entertainment items are very cheap, but there are also many features missing. Many big stores are closed, so the best time to go to Dunhuang is between April-165438+ 10.
1. Sunscreen equipment: Dunhuang has strong ultraviolet rays and a dry climate. Sunscreen, parasols, sunscreens and sunglasses should be prepared.
There are many ethnic minority restaurants in the local area, so be prepared to do as the Romans do.
3. If you want to buy souvenirs, you can go to Shazhou Market on Yangguan East Road, where there are not only local snacks with unique flavor, but also many Dunhuang specialties, and the most worthwhile thing to take home: dried meat (I think you can buy some of this, and the meat quality of free-range cattle and sheep is much better than that of factory mass production, without antibiotics and hormones).
4. Dunhuang has a large temperature difference between day and night, so it is necessary to bring relevant clothes and short-sleeved long-sleeved jackets.
I hope I can help friends who travel, and friends who like it remember to forward the collection and share it with more friends in need!
