The owners are a young post-90s couple who have great expectations for the renovation of the old house. This house is 70㎡, with two bedrooms, two halls and one bathroom. In order to meet the needs of the owners, the Nordic home style is chosen aesthetically, and the storage needs are met functionally through customized cabinets and shelves, making the living life beautiful and comfortable.

Owner's requirements:

1. Solve the problem that stairwells occupy kitchen space: the kitchen has stairwells, which need to be drilled into the open platform from this small hole, but it also wastes some kitchen space.

2. Realize the storage and display function in the small living room: the living room is old and the space is crowded and narrow, which cannot meet the daily storage and display needs.

3. Use the idle open-air platform: The original apartment has a dilapidated open-air platform, and the owner hopes to make full use of it to create a leisure area and plant flowers and plants.

Demand realization:

Requirement 1: The kitchen has its own staircase, which wastes space and is not beautiful. How to solve it?

There is a stairwell in the old kitchen, from which the owner needs to lead to the open-air platform upstairs every day. As can be seen from the photos, the setting of the stairwell not only wastes some space, but also looks unsightly.

The designer changed the stairs in the kitchen into a second bedroom, making the kitchen and dining room a whole. The black glass door expands the space vision, strengthens the permeability of the kitchen, and makes a wonderful ability transformation under the limited pattern.

The kitchen space runs through it with pure white and does not need too many colors. The white kitchen space creates a transparent and tidy visual experience, and the gray bricks are stuck on the wall, which is resistant to dirt and has a sense of design beauty.

From the living room to the second bedroom, the "stairs" (small holes) in the kitchen were changed to the vicinity of the second bedroom by the designer. It is also convenient to use, and at the same time, the kitchen position is vacated.

Requirement 2: The living room is too small. What should I do to realize the function of storage and display?

This is the original appearance of the living room, the overall tone is dull, because the space is too small, and the host family wants to place their beloved items but can't achieve it.

After the renovation, the living room took on a new look. The sofa background wall in the living room is a dirty pink department with a girl's heart full but unconventional, and some small accessories also echo it. Fresh and beautiful colors, comfortable and accented furniture, fabric sofa, marble coffee table and wooden single chair are gentle and tough. Multi-element decoration makes the whole living room comfortable and textured.

In this small space, the designer contrasts different elements. The shelf with black metal lines not only meets the display and storage functions, but also does not appear crowded, just interweaves a wonderful sense of balance.

Demand 3: How to make perfect use of the idle outdoor balcony?

The stairwell that needs to be demolished in the first building leads to the open-air balcony on the roof.

The dilapidated platform was transformed into a small courtyard full of vitality. I think this is what many people yearn for.

"If you want a yard, it doesn't have to be big. As long as there are books and tea, she can be among the flowers."

Design inspiration

1. Boldly change the living layout: the stairs leading to the platform of the original apartment occupy the space of the narrow kitchen, which is obviously unreasonable. Although it is a big layout change for the whole house, only in this way can we maximize the use of space.

2. Customize the furniture according to the actual apartment: the owner wants to put his own items in the living room, but due to the limitation of area, ordinary cabinets can't meet the needs of storage and placement. The black shelf customized for measuring the "wall" not only saves space, but also allows the owner to enjoy his beloved flowers and plants every day.
