* * * There are six affiliated hospitals, namely: First Affiliated Hospital, Second Affiliated Hospital, Third Affiliated Hospital (Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Cancer Hospital), Fourth Affiliated Hospital (Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital), Fifth Affiliated Hospital and Sixth Affiliated Hospital (Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Orthopedic Hospital).

Xinjiang Medical University, located at the foot of Liyu Mountain in Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is a provincial key university with glorious tradition. Selected as "Excellent Doctoral Education and Training Program" and "Scholarship Receiving Institution of China Government for Overseas Students in China", it is a university jointly established by the National Health and Family Planning Commission, the Ministry of Education and Xinjiang Autonomous Region.

Five of the six affiliated hospitals in the school are national third-class first-class hospitals, which can carry out liver transplantation, in vitro fertilization, coronary artery bypass grafting, bone marrow transplantation, PTCA, three-chamber (ventricular resynchronization CRT) and ICD pacemaker implantation technology, radiofrequency ablation of atrial fibrillation, successful implantation of the first three-chamber two-chamber ICD(INSYNC SENTRY) in China, and the first three-chamber CRT-D implantation of epicardial left ventricular electrode in China.

The first pacemaker that can be used in magnetic resonance imaging system and many other advanced medical technologies. The school is one of the 16 clinical research bases of traditional Chinese medicine funded by the state for 200 million yuan, and one of the 25 universities recognized by the Ministry of Education to train medical foreign language talents.
