Wuqia county. Wuqia County is located between 39 24'-4017' north latitude and 73 40'-75 45' east longitude, in the northwest of Kizilsu Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and the westernmost point of China. The county borders Atushi in the east, Kashgar and Shufu in the southeast, Akto County in the southwest and Kyrgyzstan in the west and north, with a border of 470 kilometers. Wuqia county is180km long from east to west and106km wide from north to south, covering an area of 22,000km2.

The development of history

Wuqia is the abbreviation of "uruk Qiati" in Kirgiz language, which means Dashan Goucha. It is named after the Qizil Valley, which is divided into three ditches. During the Han dynasty, Shule was under the jurisdiction of the viceroy. In the middle of the sixth century, it was ruled by the Turkic khanate. In the middle of the eighth century, it belonged to the Uighur khanate. The 1940s belonged to the Kirgiz khanate. /kloc-belonged to the Yerqiang khanate at the beginning of the 0/6th century. In Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Shufu County, Kashi Road. 19 13 years, Qiati county in uruk was established, and Qiati county in uruk was under its jurisdiction. 1929 changed to uruk Chatty Administration.

1938 Wuqia county was established, and the county seat was moved from Qiati, uruk to Heiziwei, belonging to Kashgar administrative region. 1954, Wuqia County was included in the newly established Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture. 1On August 23rd, 985, a strong earthquake of magnitude 7.4 occurred in Wuqia County, and the county seat was destroyed. Later, a new county was rebuilt in Borus, 6 kilometers northeast. 198910 June 17 held the inauguration ceremony of the new city.

1997, Wuqia County governs 2 towns and 9 townships. 1 Management Committee: Wuqia Town, Kangsu Town, Heiziwei Township, Qiati Township of uruk, Geegon Township, Tiereke Township of Postan, Bayin Kuruti Township, Maoertuokuoyi Township, Tiereke Township, Tuoyun Township and Wuhesha Township. The county government is located in Wuqia town. Xinjiang production and construction corps is stationed in the second ranch of the third agricultural division.
