Does the director of Huizhou Daya Bay Public Security Bureau need to be appointed by the province?

Appointed by the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress or transferred by the provincial government.

The director of the Municipal Public Security Bureau is nominated by the Municipal Party Committee to the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, approved by the Provincial Public Security Department, and then elected and appointed by the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress. According to Article 17 of the Regulations on the Organization and Management of Public Security Organs, the nomination of the chief leadership positions of public security organs of local people's governments at or above the county level shall be approved by the public security organs at the next higher level in advance.

The public security bureau belongs to the public security system, and can be divided into different levels because of the importance of the area under its control. According to the levels, public security bureaus usually include municipal public security bureaus, provincial public security bureaus, prefecture-level public security bureaus and county-level public security bureaus. In addition to the county-level public security bureau, the first few can be divided into sub-bureaus according to the districts of the city.
