Xingtai Han Dong Vocational and Technical College is a full-time ordinary college which focuses on engineering, enrolls students for the whole country, and trains applied high-skilled talents for production, construction, management and service. The College was founded in 1979, 19 1 under the General Logistics Department of China People's Liberation Army, and undertook the pilot task of higher vocational education of the former State Education Commission. 1997 was first named as "Vocational and Technical College". In 2000, it became the first batch of key construction units of national demonstration vocational and technical colleges, and in 2002. In 2005, it was selected by the Ministry of Education as a "national model higher vocational college" pilot college, and was established as one of the first 28 national model higher vocational colleges by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance in February 2006 through expert evaluation.
