People's Network is not a subsidiary of Baidu.

Founded in March 2005, People's Network is affiliated to Shanghai People's Network Keqiji Co., Ltd. It is a leading classified information ecological service provider in China and a model of China's Internet light asset model.

People's Network was born in Yi Bei. In order to defend against competition, Yi Bei bought a 25% stake in Craigslist, an American classified advertising website, in the second half of 2004. In March 2005, Yi Bei launched the classified advertising project "Guest Collection" in China, Japan, France, Germany, Italy and Canada.

In Swahili in Africa, "Kijiji" means "village". Since its establishment, Ke Qiji has been trying to create an interesting new way of communication for people in the same city.
