Where are the Datong files stored?

Datong archives are stored in Datong Human Resources and Security Bureau or talent exchange center.

Personal file storage process:

1. Prepare relevant materials according to personal circumstances and issue a transfer letter to the talent center;

2. After getting the file transfer letter, go to the file storage office to retrieve the file. If the file is sealed, you can carry it yourself;

3. After returning to the talent center with the file, give it to the clerk, who will check whether the file is short of materials;

4. If the missing materials are inspected, they will be filled. At this time, there are two possibilities. One is to return the file, fill it out and return it together. Second, the archivists accept and issue a notice of supplementary archival materials, and send back the materials that need to be supplemented together with the notice after the materials are complete;

5. The clerk will issue a certificate of entrusted management of personnel files, which is proof that files exist in the talent center and need to be properly kept.

Article 329th of the Criminal Law of People's Republic of China (PRC)

Crime of stealing or robbing state-owned archives Whoever steals or robs state-owned archives shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than five years or criminal detention.

The crime of selling or transferring state-owned archives without authorization violates the provisions of the Archives Law. If the circumstances are serious, they shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years or criminal detention.

Whoever commits the acts mentioned in the preceding two paragraphs and constitutes other crimes stipulated in the Cost Law shall be convicted and punished in accordance with the provisions of heavier punishment.
