Northeast Agricultural University (NEAU) is located in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. It is a national "double first-class" construction university, the first batch of "2 1 1 project" construction universities in China, and the Heilongjiang Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Agriculture of People's Republic of China (PRC) jointly build universities.

1948 was founded in Harbin. The school was originally named Northeast Agricultural College, and successively belonged to the Ministry of Agriculture of Northeast Administrative Committee, the Ministry of Higher Education, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Agricultural Committee of Heilongjiang Province and the Education Department of Heilongjiang Province. 198 1 was identified as a provincial key institution in Heilongjiang province, 1994 merged with Heilongjiang Agricultural Management Cadre College to form Northeast Agricultural University.

As of March 2022, the school covers an area of 4.964 million square meters, with a total construction area of 123 1000 square meters and a total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment of 764 million yuan.

At present, there are 16 colleges and 1 teaching departments, 10 first-class disciplines authorized by doctoral degrees, 22 first-class disciplines authorized by master's degrees, 2 categories authorized by doctoral degrees, 15 categories authorized by master's degrees, 10 post-doctoral research mobile stations and 2 post-doctoral research mobile stations.
