The story comes from the real Ningbo Zhenhai Defence War. In the early stage of filming, the creative team repeatedly researched the history and conducted in-depth research, trying to reproduce this magnificent and glorious war to the maximum extent and cherish the heroic past in people's memory.

At the beginning of the project preparation, Sun Zhuo, the chief producer, organized a creative team to dig deep into the local historical stories about Zhenhai's anti-Japanese defense war, interviewed the veterans who fought in the war that year, and accumulated story materials according to their stories.

These historical events gave the team a good creative foundation. In the choice of shooting location, in order to better maintain the original Ningbo characteristics, we choose to shoot in Ningbo, where the story takes place, and the pure Ningbo flavor can be highlighted everywhere in the details.
