How did I get an offer from Baidu?
The following is the content related to getting an offer from Baidu that I collected for everyone. You are welcome to learn and refer to it.
Preface
For a long time, many friends on the platform have been concerned about the problem of Lu Sheng finding a job.
The reason why there are no articles in this regard is mainly because there is really no good material and experience provided.
However, a junior student from Jiaotong University recently wrote a manuscript. I personally think it is pretty good, so I share it with everyone here.

Experience sharing
Recently, many mainland students studying in Taiwan have gone back to find jobs, and I am no exception. I have encountered many problems in the process. In order to avoid Future students will continue to encounter the same problem, so I would like to write an article to summarize it. This article’s campus recruitment experience summary only covers the domestic Internet IT industry. If there are any omissions, please feel free to add them.
First of all, if you are studying for a master's degree in Taiwan and are expected to graduate in two years, please remember to find a job one year in advance (the same applies to those who are expected to graduate in three years). The domestic school recruitment card graduation time The card is very strict. For example, if you are expected to graduate in August 2016, please participate in the autumn recruitment of domestic campus recruitment in September 2015. Otherwise, if you get a diploma from Jiaotong University in August 2015, then I returned to my country to participate in the school recruitment in September. The graduation date on my online application resume stated that I graduated in August 2015. There is a high probability that the resume will be brushed by the system (some seniors have experienced it personally, but there are exceptions).
Because domestic campus recruitment targets students who graduated between January 2016 and July 2016, if your graduation date is August 2015, you should participate in social recruitment and not campus recruitment. , but social recruitment requires work experience, and the competitiveness of fresh graduates is too low. As a result, it becomes a dilemma and I don’t know what to do.
So if I really get my diploma in August 2015, but still want to participate in school recruitment, is there a solution to the above situation? Here are several solutions:
1. When applying for a resume online, change the graduation date to July 2016. Go through the resume first, and then explain your special situation to the interviewer or HR in person (this method is risky, But you can only do this, otherwise you will not be able to pass the resume test)
2. Find a job first and then graduate, don’t be so anxious to get your diploma (the graduation date for the online application resume is July 2016, and the resume Can pass the screening smoothly)
3. To participate in social recruitment, you do not have to have work experience, but this method is very difficult. After all, if you participate in social recruitment, most of your competitors will Is someone with work experience.
Interview experience
Insert a piece of news about Huawei campus recruitment here. Huawei has special processing channels for overseas academic qualifications, which means that as overseas students, we can only participate in Huawei overseas students. special recruitment, and cannot participate in Huawei's general campus recruitment for domestic universities (this differs in different regions. The person in charge of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao clearly told me that Taiwanese academic qualifications are not accepted for general campus recruitment, and the system resume screening will directly screen out unless there is a briefing. Go directly to HR to explain the situation on site and give your resume to HR. I have classmates from Wuhan and Nanjing who got the chance to get a written test interview by explaining the situation to HR on site).
Huawei’s special recruitment for overseas students is explained in the campus recruitment. The most recent one was in December 2015. Interested students can check it out: (/recruitment/campus2_index.html#campus2/content. html) You can also join Huawei’s December Recruitment-Taiwanese International Students WeChat Group. Next is my Baidu written test interview experience. Students who are interested in applying for Baidu technical positions can take a look. Students in non-technical positions can also use it as a reference for interview experience.
Written test: Online written test at 7:00 pm on September 21st. Baidu's written test questions are relatively basic, nothing more than the examination of basic knowledge such as programming language (C / C, Java), data structure, algorithm, database, operating system, computer network, computer structure, etc. As long as you answer more questions, you should be fine. , here I recommend a website for writing questions. I usually study here for a few weeks. The written test of bat Internet company is basically no problem (). I would like to thank Master Wei Yang for recommending this website. For students who want to apply for Internet technology positions, come here That said, it is a really good website for writing questions.
One side: 2 pm on September 24th, at Baidu International Building in Shenzhen. In fact, I received an interview call on the morning of September 23, and the interview was scheduled at 3 pm that day. However, something happened to be busy at that time, so it was changed to 2 pm on September 24. The interviewer on the other side was young and seemed very kind. After I handed in my resume and introduced myself, I started asking questions.
On the one hand, I still attach great importance to the technical foundation and asked a lot of basic questions, mainly about computer networks, such as the detailed process of TCP three-way handshake and four-way wave, TCP congestion control, sliding window, fast retransmission, Mechanisms such as quick recovery, as well as common interview questions such as the difference between processes and threads. The interview lasted for almost 60 minutes, and I basically answered all the questions. At the end, the interviewer told me directly that you had passed. On the one hand, a colleague from Beijing will call you later to make an appointment for a second meeting.
Second meeting: 10 a.m. on September 25. In fact, at around 5 pm on September 24, the second interview interviewer in Beijing called me to make an appointment for the second interview at 10 am the next day. The second interview was a phone interview, and it was also a technical interview. The questions were more in-depth. The questions mainly focused on C and data structures and algorithms, such as virtual functions in C, dynamic programming algorithms, etc.
The second interview lasted about 40 minutes, and I felt pretty good. I basically answered all the questions. At the end of the interview, the interviewer also told me that I had passed the second interview and asked me to wait for the notice from the third interview. .
Three interviews: 9:00 pm on September 25, video interview at the Beijing headquarters. Baidu's three sides are very distinctive, and they are also technical. Unlike Tencent, they are not HR sides, so they still attract a lot of people. It was the first time in my life to experience a video interview, and I was extremely nervous.
First of all, I was asked to introduce myself during the interview, and then the three interviewers told me that the first two interviewers had already asked you enough about technical details, and I will not ask you any more technical details today. , let’s talk about the project. So, I started asking questions about the SDN research project written in my resume. After the interview, the interviewer gave me a verbal offer. I was really happy at the time!!
The next day, I I received a call from the Human Resources Department of Baidu in Beijing, informing me that I had passed all three applications. On October 10th, I received a call from the Human Resources Department of Baidu in Beijing again, confirming that the offer had been sent to me. On October 12th, I received a call from Baidu Human Resources in Shenzhen. Call the Resource Department to discuss signing matters. I have to lament the efficiency of Baidu, and I really want to thank the three interviewers who interviewed me. Thank you for giving me a chance to join Baidu. Thank you! To add, my position is Shenzhen-Network Platform System Engineer.
Summary: Through this experience of returning to the mainland to find a job, I feel that finding a job is really not easy. It requires strength, luck, opportunity and a mentality. The mentality is really important. Maintain a good mentality and prepare well. Opportunities will come. For those who are prepared, I would like to say a final word to students who want to apply for Internet technical positions. Even if it is difficult to find technical positions this year and the Internet has reduced recruitment, do not waver in your determination and apply for non-technical positions rashly. Do what you like and are good at, and don't be easily influenced by others. ;
