School of Aviation

The School of Aviation was jointly established by Beijing Institute of Technology Zhuhai College and AVIC General Aircraft Co., Ltd. in July 2009. It relies on the advantageous disciplines of Beijing Institute of Technology and other parties. Advantages, aiming to cultivate composite applied aviation professionals who have a solid theoretical foundation, profound professional knowledge and skilled practical skills in the aviation industry and related fields, and can adapt to technological progress and social development.

The college currently offers four undergraduate majors: Aircraft Manufacturing Engineering, Information Engineering (Aviation Electronics and Control Engineering), Marketing (Aviation Marketing), and Information Management and Information Systems (Aviation Logistics).

The college has always adhered to the three characteristics of aviation characteristics, the combination of academic education and vocational education, and paramilitary management. It currently has more than 20 full-time and part-time teachers (the demand for selection has gradually increased), including full-time teachers. There are 4 teachers and professors and 8 associate professors. The part-time teachers and professors are composed of professors, associate professors and outstanding experts from Beijing Institute of Technology Headquarters, AVIC General Aircraft Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Civil Aviation Vocational and Technical College, Zhuhai Airport Management Co., Ltd. and other well-known universities and enterprises. We insist on paying equal attention to theoretical teaching and practical teaching, focusing on cultivating students' multi-faceted abilities and improving students' comprehensive quality.

The college currently has a communication technology laboratory, a mechanical basic experiment center, an advanced manufacturing technology laboratory, an engineering training center, a management computer simulation laboratory and an ERP sand table confrontation simulation laboratory. It has invested more than 5 million in a transport aircraft. Four professional laboratories are under construction: the full-mission comprehensive simulation training system laboratory, the aviation communication and navigation equipment laboratory, the aviation radio navigation laboratory, and the aviation instrument comprehensive laboratory. The college currently has 125 students in three majors in 2010, including 49 students in aerospace mechanical engineering, 41 students in avionics and control engineering, and 35 students in aviation marketing.
