There are two kinds of police coordinators, namely, career establishment police coordinator and contract police coordinator. The former has to take the recruitment examination for public institutions, the content of which is similar to that of civil servants, as well as the application and administrative professional ability test, and some units will add additional professional knowledge tests. The latter was willing to join and failed the exam.

The post of police coordinator is to "assist" the police force, which belongs to the professional group prevention and treatment team and does not have the power of administrative law enforcement. From the institutional nature, although the joint police force is a financial subsidy institution, it is not a first-class authorized joint defense team.
