Is learning SMT technology good for future employment?

The two majors of SMT QE are better. I have done SMT in the factory for 4 years, and now I am a junior engineer with a salary of about 4550. The working environment is a constant temperature and dust-free workshop. There are subsidies for college students here after they come.

QE major is also very good, but the details are not clear. A friend of mine has been in QE for two years. Monthly salary is 4000
