When Zhang Jian's brothers were repairing and expanding their ancestral home, they followed their father's last wish and converted the wooden bridge in their hometown town into a stone bridge. Because there was also a stone bridge on the west side of the town at that time, this bridge was called the East Bridge. Zhang Jian wrote the "Inscription on the West Pavilion and the East Bridge" for this purpose and placed it beside the bridge. As time goes by, things change and people change. Later, when Xiting Town was renovated and the East Bridge was demolished, the stele "Xiting East Bridge Inscription" was discovered.
