Hefei Science and Technology Rural Commercial Bank Co., Ltd. was restructured on the basis of the original Hefei Urban Rural Credit Cooperative Association. Its history can be traced back to the early stage of the rural cooperative movement in China in the 1950s, with a glorious history of more than 50 years.

After the long-term development and unremitting efforts of several generations of rural credit cooperatives, under the correct leadership of the municipal party committee and the municipal government, and with the care and support of Anhui Banking Regulatory Bureau, Hefei Central Branch of the People's Bank of China, Anhui Agricultural Association and all walks of life, Hefei Science and Technology Rural Commercial Bank was formally established on February 14, 2007, becoming the first rural commercial bank in the national capital city.
