The history of Lida

Rieter Group has been doing business in China for more than 80 years, and is recognized as the market leader of spare parts, complete machines and complete systems in the field of staple fiber spinning.

In 2005, Rieter Group established Rieter China, which consists of Rieter Textile Machinery (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Rieter Textile Instrument (Changzhou) Co., Ltd., Rieter Asia (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. and Taiwan Province Ruite Co., Ltd.

Today, Rieter China has more than 600 employees, headquartered in Shanghai, and has a manufacturing plant and spinning technology center in Changzhou. In addition, Lida also has offices in Beijing, Hong Kong and Urumqi to provide sales and after-sales service.

Lida employees have a variety of professional backgrounds, including: textile processing, product development, manufacturing, warehousing and logistics, marketing, sales service and technical support.

Nantong Zhanyang Fiber Co., Ltd. became Lida's first demonstration factory in China.

Lida Changzhou Factory Expansion Project Celebrates the Establishment of Changzhou Spinning Technology Center

2005

Lida Textile System China Division was established.

2004

Set up Jinan representative office in Shandong.

Lida Spinning Center was established in Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone.

Set up Wuhan representative office in Hubei.

2003

Lida Textile Machinery (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. was established in Shanghai.

Lida service center and spare parts warehouse have been set up in Shanghai.

2002

Set up Urumqi representative office in Xinjiang.

Acquisition of Changzhou Factory: Lida (Changzhou) Textile Instrument Co., Ltd.

2000

The original headquarters in Hong Kong was changed to Shanghai.

1995

Rieter's bicentennial celebration was held in Shanghai (more than 400 guests were present).

1994

The joint venture factory of Lida and Jingwei was established in Shanghai (Gundam 1998).

1993

Lida has established a cooperative relationship with China Textile Machinery Import and Export Corporation, thus laying the foundation for the establishment of Lida maintenance station.

Rieter has established permanent representative offices in Shanghai and Beijing.

1986

Lida participated in the first China International Textile Machinery Exhibition held in Beijing, and has been participating in this grand event ever since.

1974

Rieter has set up a permanent representative office in Hong Kong.

1949

The agency moved from Shanghai to Hong Kong.

1927

Lida shipped the machine to Shanghai.
