Township enterprises in Shatang, including Wang Guoan Furniture Factory, Wang Xiaoxiong Loader Repair Shop and Wang Jianzhong Cable Factory, rose rapidly in the late 1980s. At first, Wang Wenjun and Wang Wenti, rural sages, started with small family workshops and gradually formed a scale. Later, the villagers saw that the industry was profitable and had great development prospects, so they went deep into the Shishi clothing market to learn about the industry information and raise funds. The rapid development of Shatang garment manufacturing industry has accelerated the construction of industrial parks and shops. There are three industrial parks in the whole community, covering an area of more than 400 mu, mainly distributed in Houyangtang Industrial Park (formerly Wuqi Farm in Luoshan Town). 199 1 started construction, and now the basic construction is ready, going down to Xiajiao Industrial Park and Yangcuo to Nanhu Industrial Park. The average annual income of vegetable farmers is nearly 50,000 yuan. In 2007, the output value of community industry and agriculture exceeded 400 million yuan.
