The open display content system of the first phase of the Guangdong Science Center includes 8 themed exhibition halls (Children’s World, Experiment and Discovery, Digital World, Transportation World, Green Home, Flying Dream, People and Health, Perception and thinking) 4 technology theaters (giant screen theater, dome theater, dynamic theater, 4D theater), open laboratory, digital home experience hall and outdoor science square. In terms of display content, comprehensive scientific knowledge is interpreted using thematic design ideas; emphasis is placed on using high-tech means to organically integrate science, knowledge, and fun, allowing the audience to gain education through hands-on participation and personal experience.

1. Children’s World: For children under the age of 12, through interactive games, role-playing, situational experiences and hands-on activities, children can discover scientific phenomena in the world around them while playing. Enrich childhood life perceptions and experiences, and stimulate curiosity, imagination and creativity. Experiments and discoveries: Show important scientific discoveries in the history of science, allowing the audience to participate in the classic scientific discovery process, stimulate scientific interest, and experience basic scientific inquiry methods.

2. Transportation World: Displays the structure, working principle, latest technology and automobile culture of automobiles, displays the application of electronic information and other high technologies in rail transportation and intelligent transportation, allowing the audience to experience the prospects of future transportation.

3. Digital World: Display the basic knowledge of digital technology and typical applications of digital technology, allowing the audience to feel the charm of digital technology and the huge impact that the development of digital technology has on people's lives.

4. Green Earth: Shows the natural and harmonious ecological environment of the earth and the crises caused by improper human behavior, making the audience realize that green actions must be taken to protect the earth's home.

5. The Dream of Flying: Let the audience follow the footsteps of human exploration and flight, understand the science and technology in the fields of aviation and aerospace and related astronomical knowledge, showcase the brilliant achievements of China’s aerospace industry, and inspire the audience to explore the mysteries of space. .

6. Human body and health: Display knowledge and scientific concepts of the human body and health, combined with cutting-edge knowledge of life sciences, to enable the audience to understand the relationship between lifestyle and health.

7. Perception and thinking: Through a series of perceptual activities, brain science, psychology and other contents are cleverly combined to enable the audience to understand the brain and explore the mysterious fields of perception and thinking. Digital Home Experience Hall: allows the public to experience the application of digital technology in life and understand the current development trends of informatization. It is in line with the "Guangdong Province Digital Home Action Plan" and the national science and technology support plan "Digital Home and Digital TV" that are being organized and implemented by Guangdong Province. A special exhibition built for "Technology Application and Demonstration".

8. Outdoor Science Exploration Park: The "Outdoor Science Exploration Park" is an outdoor garden with many interactive exhibits embedded around the main building of the Guangdong Science Center, allowing the audience to experience science in an open space in a way that is different from indoor conventions. It is one of the highlight exhibition areas of the Science Center.

9. 4D Cinema: A 4D cinema that combines three-dimensional three-dimensional and environmental special effects. In addition to giving the audience a surreal visual and auditory enjoyment, it can also be designed according to the plot of the film. Special effects such as smoke, fog, rain, lightning, snowflakes, and bubbles are produced to synchronize with the reality of the film. Digital dome theater: The projection screen of the dome theater is spherical, and the architectural appearance of the theater is also spherical, hence the name. Our digital dome theater has a diameter of 18 meters. It is the first dome theater in the world to use the latest laser projection technology and can accommodate nearly 200 viewers.

10. Giant-Screen 3D Cinema: The 3D giant-screen cinema has a screen width of 29 meters and a height of 22 meters. It is currently the largest giant-screen cinema in Asia and can accommodate nearly 600 viewers. Its biggest feature is the huge screen and high-fidelity stereo sound system, and the audience wears polarized glasses when watching. Virtual Navigation Dynamic Cinema: It consists of three parts: preview hall, exhibition hall and dynamic movie hall. Audiences can understand the background and related preparations of the film in the preview hall and exhibition hall, and then enter the theater to experience it. The maritime navigation simulator used in the virtual navigation action theater makes full use of computer simulation, digital image synthesis and image splicing technologies.
