Exploration of replacement resources of Hujiayu copper mine in Yuanqu County, Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province

(1) Overview

The mining area is located in Yuanqu County, Shanxi Province, at a distance of about 14 kilometers at 2. The mining area is 26 kilometers away from Yuanqu Railway Station, and the special highway in the mining area is connected with Donglu-Jiyuan Highway and Wenyuan Highway. The exploration area is located in the northeast section of Zhongtiaoshan Mountain, which belongs to the middle and low mountainous area with an altitude of 85 ~ 188.5 meters. The climate in this area belongs to temperate monsoon continental climate. The economy in the region is dominated by agriculture and mining, and the economy is relatively developed. The labor force is surplus, and the supply of water and electricity is guaranteed.

From June p>29 to April 211, the Third Geological Exploration Institute of China General Bureau of Metallurgy and Geology carried out exploration work. The exploration mineral was copper, and the degree of work was exploration, with an exploration fund of 8.54 million yuan.

(2) Description of achievements

The deposits in this area belong to metamorphic hydrothermal deposits, and the ore bodies are mainly found in Bizigou Formation of Zhongtiao Group in Lower Proterozoic, and a few are also found in Yujiashan Formation. At present, three ore bodies are divided, which are numbered ⅰ, ⅱ and ⅲ from bottom to top. Among them, the No.1 ore body is the main ore body, which occurs in the Bizigou Formation on the normal wing of the reverse syncline, with the control range from Line 16 to Line 6 and the elevation of-7 ~ 45m. The ore body dip is 11, the dip angle is 45 ~ 51, and the buried depth is 24 ~ 72m. The project controlled the ore body to extend 58 meters, extend 625 meters and have a thickness of 2 ~ 6 meters. The metal minerals in the ore are mainly chalcopyrite, pyrite and magnetite. The ore is in granular or phosphorus-flake metamorphic structure, strip, block, schistose structure, etc. The average grade of Cu ore in the whole region is .95%. The average grade of Co ore is .4%. The beneficiation method is flotation, and the mining technical conditions are moderate.

The newly-added (333) resources were discovered: copper metal was 12,1 tons, with an average grade of .95%, cobalt metal was 4,834.68 tons, with an average grade of .4%, and gold metal was 68.82 kg, with an average grade of 15.94× 1-6. The deposit has reached the scale of medium-sized copper deposit. The report has been reviewed and approved, and the reserves are being put on record.

(3) Brief process of achievement

In the decades since the discovery of the reserves of more than 3 million tons of Bizigou, Tongkuangyu and Hujiayu deposits in Zhongtiaoshan area in the 195s and 196s, despite the hardships of geologists in various departments, there has been little breakthrough in copper prospecting. This exploration has added more than 1, tons of resources to Hujiayu Copper Mine.
