Eighty-nine towns in the junction of Datian and Youxi are "Houlu dialect". Most of the other towns in Youxi are "Youxi dialect". According to dialect surveys, these dialects are partial to Zhangzhou.

3. Putian and Xianyou both belonged to Quanzhou before the Song Dynasty, and there was no obvious difference in dialects. Later, after becoming independent as the Xinghua Army, it gradually had some characteristics of the Eastern Fujian dialect. But the foundation is all southern Fujian. When studying the phonetic system, it is completely the characteristics of the Zhang dialect, and there are very few characteristics of the Quan dialect.
