The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region passport is valid worldwide. Currently, 147 countries and regions have granted visa-free or visa-on-arrival arrangements to Hong Kong Special Administrative Region passport holders. However, please note that when arriving in these countries, travelers must still obtain final approval from the local immigration authorities before entering.

Note 1: HKSAR passport holders can enjoy visa-free entry and can stay up to 14 days, and the total stay period shall not exceed 90 days within 180 days.

Note 4: If HKSAR passport holders wish to travel to Congo, they are advised to first inquire about visa arrangements with the Congolese Consulate in Hong Kong.

Note 6: Guam’s visa-free arrangement came into effect on November 28, 2009. When entering Guam, Hong Kong SAR passport holders must also present a valid Hong Kong permanent identity card.
Note 7: Holders of valid Hong Kong Special Administrative Region passports can enjoy visa-free treatment for short-term stays within 90 days. However, this measure does not apply to entry purposes other than short-term stays, such as looking for a job or finding a job, etc. However, visa fees can be waived when applying for the relevant visa.
Note 8: Starting from November 28, 2009, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region passport holders must present a valid Hong Kong permanent identity card when entering the Northern Mariana Islands.

Note 10: The Palau authorities reconfirmed on March 24, 2009 that Hong Kong SAR passport holders will be issued a free entry permit upon arrival in Palau, with a stay period of 30 days.

Note 12: The Venezuelan government has extended the tourist card scheme to apply to Hong Kong SAR passport holders. Venezuelan tourist card holders can travel to Venezuela without a visa for up to 90 days.
