IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is the first English test in the world to test English ability from four aspects: listening, speaking, reading and writing. It has become the most popular English language proficiency test for higher education and immigrants in the world, and has been recognized by more than 140 countries and regions, including Britain, the United States, Canada, Australia, Europe, Southeast Asia and other emerging study destinations, as well as more than 1 1000 educational institutions, employers, professional associations and government departments.

Nearly 300 colleges and universities in China regard IELTS as an English proficiency assessment standard for admission screening, credit replacement and scholarship application.

First, the basic situation of IELTS test

The IELTS score is recorded on the report card, including a total score and four individual scores of listening, reading, writing and speaking. Candidates' test scores are evaluated by the scoring system of1–9, with four independent scores, and the final score is the average of the four items. The total score is allowed to be half, and the individual score is allowed to be four.

The IELTS test report card will be distributed on 10 working day after the written test. The organizer of IELTS test does not guarantee the validity of transcripts for more than two years. (Usually valid for two years)

Second, the IELTS test date is 2023

In 2023, there were 42 IELTS paper and pencil test dates, 6 more than last year. For the convenience of every IELTS candidate, the paper and pencil test date of IELTS in 2023 falls on Saturday.

In 2023, 1-3 * * opened 79 IELTS computer test dates, which was twice the same period last year.

By the end of September, IELTS paper-and-pencil test had set up 88 test sites in 43 cities and IELTS computer test had set up 59 test sites in 35 cities.
