Brief introduction of Linxian suona

Linxian Dasuona is a folk music of Han nationality in Shanxi Province. Linxian County, located at the foot of Luliang Mountain in the west of Shanxi Province, is a typical loess gully region. The great suona is the main percussion instrument in the local area. Because Linxian faces northern Shaanxi across the Yellow River in the west and is connected with Lvliang and Jinchuan in the east, "Linxian Dasuona" not only inherits the rough, bold and radical timbre of northern Shaanxi, but also absorbs the delicate, lively and euphemistic characteristics of Jinchuan Xiaosuona. It has been selected into the first batch of intangible cultural heritage and the fourth batch of national intangible cultural heritage representative projects in Shanxi Province.
