1, Yi nationality
Yi nationality is the sixth largest minority in China, and its national language is Yi language, which belongs to the Yi branch of Tibeto-Burman language family of Sino-Tibetan language family. Yi people are mainly distributed between the plateaus and coastal hills in Yunnan, Sichuan, Guizhou and Guangxi provinces, mainly in Chuxiong, Honghe, Liangshan, Bijie, Liupanshui and Anshun. Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture is the largest Yi inhabited area in China.
2. Tibetans
Sichuan Tibetans are located in the west of Sichuan, including Ganzi Tibetans, Aba Tibetans, Qiang Tibetans and Muli Tibetans. Tibetans here are easy to get along with, simple and sincere. Tibetans in Sichuan, who live near the Tibetan residence in Sichuan Basin, usually communicate in Sichuan dialect, with the highest degree of sinicization. The living habits of Tibetans in Sichuan, Tibet and Chongqing are mostly integrated with the characteristics of Sichuan and Chongqing, which are obviously different from those of traditional Tibetans.
3. Qiang nationality
Qiang people are mainly distributed in Mao Wen Qiang Autonomous County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, and Wenchuan County, Lixian County, Heishui County, Songpan County and other places. Mao Wen Qiang Autonomous County is the largest Qiang inhabited area. Qiang people use Qiang language, belonging to the Tibeto-Burman language family of Sino-Tibetan language family, which is divided into two major dialects: North and South. Except Chibu Soviet Area in Maowen County and Qiang Area in Heishui County, all other Qiang areas are southern dialects.
4. Miao nationality
Miao nationality is an ancient nation, scattered all over the world, mainly distributed in Guizhou, Hunan, Hubei, Sichuan, Yunnan, Guangxi, Qiong and other provinces in China. In Sichuan, there is a Miao county called Xingwen. Xingwen County, located in the southeast of Yibin City, Sichuan Province, is the largest Miao-inhabited county in Sichuan Province, with more than 50,000 Miao compatriots.
5. Hui nationality
Hui people in Sichuan are mainly distributed in many areas of northwest Sichuan, south Sichuan, north Sichuan and east Sichuan. Hui nationality has the characteristics of small concentration and large dispersion. Jin 'an and Shili Hui Township, Songpan County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture; Haoxi and Courtyard Hui Township, Qingchuan County, Guangyuan City; Boshu Hui Township, Langzhong City, Nanchong City; Daxing Hui Township in Yanting County, Mianyang City has the largest number of Hui people.
