What does "children of migrant workers" mean?

Children of migrant workers refer to school-age children and adolescents who are registered in rural areas of other provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and counties (districts) outside the province and go to the city (live together) with their parents to receive compulsory education.

Migrant workers refer to workers whose household registration is still in rural areas, who work in cities and have been engaged in non-agricultural industries locally or in different places for 6 months or more.

Extended information "Implementation Measures for Children of Migrant Workers in Guangdong Province to Participate in the College Entrance Examination (Trial)" stipulates in Article 7.

Children who move with them are enrolled in ordinary high schools in our province, and meet the following conditions, they can sign up for the college entrance examination in our province from 20 16:

(a) the father or mother has a legal and stable occupation in our province;

(two) the father or mother has a legal and stable residence in our province;

(three) the father or mother holds a residence permit in our province, which is valid until the specified time for the college entrance examination registration in that year, for more than 3 consecutive years (including 3 years);

(four) father or mother in our province to participate in social insurance payment for more than 3 years (including 3 years);

(5) The accompanying children take the senior high school entrance examination in our province;

(six) the children who move with them have a complete three-year high school student status in the city where their parents work.
