I. The whole process of applying for a visa is as follows:

First, fill in the DS 160 form.

The applied B 1 business sign should be saved in time and filled out in official website, USA, where there are many substitutes. But you'd better fill it out yourself. You can set it to Chinese mode, and there will be webpage translation at any time.

Step 2: Pay for an interview.

The website of the American embassy makes an appointment to pay. Please note that it must be a CITIC bank card. You can pay directly from CITIC Bank offline or register online. CITIC Bank supports linkage with other bank cards. I made a visa reservation in Guangzhou. It is said that Guangzhou has a high pass rate of face-to-face signing, and there are many people going to Guangzhou around, so I decided to go to Guangzhou.

Step 3: Prepare materials for the interview.

The materials prepared are as follows. It should be noted that if there are printed materials such as papers or patents, it is best to print them.

Step 2 share the interview process

The visa office of the US Embassy in Guangzhou is at the exit B 1 of Zhujiang New Town subway station, so you can explore the road in advance.

There are two considerations:

0 1. You can't bring things like mobile phones, but you can leave them in the hotel. There will be some aunts waiting at the scene, 30 yuan. Or there is a temporary agency opposite the embassy, you can contact in advance to make an appointment.

02. In addition, men had better not wear trousers with belts, and they need to take off their belts when going through the security check on site.

The visa period booked at 8: 30 am will arrive at 8: 00 am and arrive 30 to 45 minutes in advance. When we arrived, we went straight to the queue. I put my ID card, passport, face-to-face confirmation page and DS 160 confirmation paper on my face, and it will go through layer-by-layer inspection. Then to collect fingerprints, you need four fingers in your left hand, four fingers in your right hand and two thumbs. Miss America will tell you in Chinese. Then there is the last step, the interview.

First of all, the interviewer will ask me in Chinese what I am doing in America.

I replied, attend the academic conference and give him my invitation letter and abstract admission notice.

He asked: Can you speak English?

I said okay.

Then he asked what the abstract was about.

I answered, Barabara. Said a few words.

Then he asked me about the theme and ideas.

I didn't understand it at first, so I continued to answer some questions.

Then he asked if there were any articles.

I replied that I received it, but it hasn't been officially published yet.

Then I asked if there were any other publications.

I replied that it was not official.

Then he asked me if I had a resume and itinerary.

I handed it to him.

Then he didn't ask anything, and then he read my resume and the contents of DS- 160 filled in online. Finally, he said congratulations on my passing and gave me a yellow note. I smiled and walked away.
