What occupations are in short supply in Australia now? What major should I study in June 5438+next year 10?

At 2 am on September 20th, 2006, Australian Immigration Minister and Employment Minister jointly released the latest list of jobs in short supply in Australian Immigration Bureau. The list reflects the changes in the demand for all kinds of talents in the Australian market and is basically reviewed every six months. Occupations on the list can get extra immigration 15 points, making the occupation score reach 75 points, which is the fastest way to immigrate to Australia at present. The main changes are:

1. added the profession of baby-sitter, and verified the prediction of this major made by the Australian Study Abroad Network in July.

2. Nine computer majors have been added, including C++, Java, J2EE, PeopleSoft, Oracle Bone Inscriptions, SAP, CISSP and network security.

3. Power and electrical engineers, mechanical engineers and surveyors have been added, and the Chinese website of Australian Petroleum Engineers has been removed.

The government revised MODL to reflect the labor market.

Amanda Vanstone, Minister of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs, and Kevin Andrews, Minister of Employment and Workplace Relations, announced today that as part of the commitment of the MODL government, nine new occupations have been added to the list of professional needs of immigrants to ensure that the immigration plan meets the skills needs of businesses and industries.

"MODL now includes 35 management and professional professions, one auxiliary profession, nine computer professions and 4 1 trade professions," Mr. Andrews said.

"Starting today, GSM visa applicants will get extra points if they are recognized in one of the nine new occupations and majors. These positions are child care coordinator, surveyor, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer and five new computer majors. "

MODL is a detailed labor market research and analysis based on the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR). This study includes consultations with employers and top industry organizations, and is updated every six months to ensure that MODL responds to labor market conditions.

"The occupations and majors identified on MODL get extra points for those who apply for GSM visas for score testing, making it easier for them to come to Australia as skilled immigrants," Senator Vanstone said.

Ministers took note of the recent appointment of the Australian Trade Association as the coordinating and evaluating agency for occupational child care in Australia and its inclusion in MODL. These changes will be welcomed by the child care department, because it will help to solve its demand for highly skilled managers.

Regular adjustment of MODL is helpful to solve the persistent shortage of skilled labor market in Australia and ensure that individuals with required professional skills are selected to immigrate to Australia through GSM plan.
