Loufan Ancient Capital Site

Loufan Ancient Capital Site is located one mile northwest of Donggou, Majiazhuang Township. In the Spring and Autumn Period, the ancient building was once the capital of the troubled country. It was later broken by King Wuling of Zhao, and now the remnants of the city wall still exist. Pottery, swords, halberds, copper scissors and war horse bones have been unearthed in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period.

Gao Junyu's former residence memorial hall

Gao Junyu's former residence memorial hall is a provincial key cultural relic protection unit, located in Fenglingdi Village, Jingyao Town, loufan county. It is the birthplace of political activist Gao Junyu and the place where he lived and studied before he was 16 years old. It is located in a ravine called "Gaojiaya" at the eastern end of Fenglingdi Village.

Miyu Town Battle Memorial Site

Miyu Town Battle Memorial Site is located in Guolian Village, Miyu Town, loufan county. It consists of "Miyu Town Battle Monument", Martyrs Mausoleum and Miyu Town Battle Site. The battle memorial site of Miyu Town has been identified as a "moral education demonstration base" for teenagers by Shanxi Province and Taiyuan City.

Sanjiao Temple

Sanjiao Temple is located 1 km south of loufan county. The original site is in the flooded area of Fenhe Reservoir. It was built in the Northern Dynasties and the Northern Zhou Dynasty. It is a typical architectural style of the Song Dynasty and is an ancient temple integrating Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism. In September 2, it was listed as a key cultural relic protection unit in Taiyuan.

Fenhe Reservoir

Fenhe Reservoir is located between Xiajingyou Village and Xiashijiazhuang in loufan county. Located in the hinterland of Luliang Mountain in the upper reaches of Fenhe River, it is more than 1 meters above sea level. The reservoir dam is 98 kilometers away from Taiyuan city. The project started construction in 1958 and was completed in 1961, with a total storage capacity of 72 million cubic meters, the largest water area in the reservoir area of 32 square kilometers and the highest water level of 113 meters at sea level. Fenhe Reservoir is a comprehensive water control project for irrigation, flood control, industrial water and power generation. In 1987, Fenhe Reservoir built a power station with an annual output of 7 million kWh.

Genting Mountain Scenic Area of National Forest Park

Genting Mountain, named after its towering peak, is located in the southwest of loufan county, Shanxi Province, 23 kilometers away from Loufan County, and is closely connected with Pangquangou Nature Reserve and North Wudang Mountain. The main peak is 278 meters above sea level, which is the highest peak in Taiyuan, with a total forest area of more than 4, mu, making it the largest virgin forest area in Taiyuan.

Zhou Hongshan

Zhou Hongshan, formerly known as Zhou Gongshan, is located 7.5 kilometers north of the county seat, with an altitude of 1,767 meters. On the Dragon Boat Festival and the 15th day of the seventh lunar month, a traditional temple fair is held in Zhou Hongshan. Zhou Hongshan was also the main base of Jiaoshan peasant army led by Li Shukong and Jonathan Lee in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties.

Loufan Jianhe Park

Loufan Jianhe Park is located in the south street of the county, north of Nanshan Forest Park. Loufanjian River runs through Loufan County.
