Brief introduction of Yongfeng Township

Yongfeng Township is located in the hilly area in the southwest of Xingguo County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, 7 kilometers away from the county seat/kloc-0. It is adjacent to Buttou Township and Longkou Town in the east, Egret Township, Tiancun Town and Juncun Township in Ganxian County in the south, and Longping Township and Gaoxing Town in the north. The land area of this township is * * * 16 1 km2, including 256 15 mu of cultivated land and 0/63480 mu of mountainous land. Jurisdiction 17 administrative villages, 63 communities and 237 villagers' groups with a total population of 32,599. Yongfeng Township has a long history, outstanding people and simple folk customs. In the third year of Xianfeng in Qing Dynasty (1853), ten people raised funds to build a dike, which was named after the "turtle covered with lotus leaves" and later named after the eternal abundance. There are nearly 70,000 square meters of scenic spots and historical sites in the territory, which is one of the birthplaces of Hakka culture, and there are small (1) reservoirs in the territory. Over the years, Yongfeng's sons and daughters have made great contributions to the rejuvenation of the country and even the national liberation cause, including four generals Ma Zeying, Chen Yunren, Xie, three veteran cadres of the Long March, Xie Teshan and Shu, 26 veterans of the Red Army and 0/282 martyrs.
