Why is Switzerland not an immigrant country like Canada?

Another important reason is that European countries basically have their own "ethnic groups". Quite a few Europeans are still very old-fashioned. They may be friendly to foreigners, but they won't really accept them. Some radical people will have "nationalism" or racial discrimination.
